Overview

Distinguished as 'Himachal’s Best Kept Secret,' Tirthan Valley is a hidden gem enveloped by the Great Himalayan National Park, characterized by meandering rivers, verdant valleys, and pristine lakes. Nestled in the Himalayas, it derives its name from the Tirthan River, originating from the glaciers of the majestic mountains. Tirthan Valley is a haven of extraordinary beauty, boasting breathtaking mountain scenery, untouched villages, and opportunities for invigorating walks, all complemented by welcoming guesthouses. Serving as the gateway to the magnificent Great Himalayan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Tirthan Valley spans 754 square kilometers of unspoiled landscapes, featuring steep-sided river valleys and majestic peaks reaching over 6,000 meters in the Great Himalayan Range. Notable attractions within the valley include Jalori Pass, Chaini Fort, Shringa Rishi Temple, Serolsar Lake, and the captivating 360° View Point. These landmarks contribute to the allure of Tirthan Valley, making it a must-explore destination in Himachal Pradesh.
