Priced at 38,496 per person, this exploration promises an immersive experience in the heart of Northeast India. From the enchanting waterfalls and eco-parks of Shillong to the spiritual aura of Guwahati's temples, every moment is crafted for an unforgettable adventure.

Shillong, often referred to as the "Scotland of the East," is renowned for its picturesque landscapes and pleasant climate. Surrounded by lush hills, it boasts cascading waterfalls, serene lakes, and meandering rivers. The city is a haven for nature enthusiasts, offering opportunities for trekking, exploring caves, and enjoying the tranquilly of its surroundings. Ward's Lake, Shillong Peak, and Elephant Falls are among the must-visit attractions, each contributing to Shillong's reputation as a haven for those seeking respite from urban hustle.

In contrast, Guwahati, the largest city in Assam, serves as the bustling commercial hub of the region. Nestled on the banks of the Brahmaputra River, the city is a melting pot of cultures. Guwahati's rich history is reflected in its ancient temples, such as the Kamakhya Temple, a major pilgrimage site. The city also boasts Umananda Island, accessible by boat, and the Navagraha Temple, dedicated to the celestial bodies. Guwahati seamlessly combines its historical roots with modernity, evident in its vibrant markets, shopping complexes, and burgeoning nightlife.

Culturally, both cities showcase the diversity of the northeastern region. Shillong, with its predominantly Khasi population, celebrates its indigenous traditions through music festivals and local events. The city is renowned for producing talented musicians and is often considered the music capital of the region. Guwahati, on the other hand, reflects the Assamese culture and is a hub for Assamese literature, dance, and music.

The culinary landscape of Shillong and Guwahati is a treat for food enthusiasts. While Shillong offers a delectable range of Khasi delicacies such as Jadoh (rice with meat) and Doh Neiiong (pork with black sesame seeds), Guwahati is a paradise for Assamese cuisine lovers, featuring specialties like Assam Laksa and Maasor Tenga (sour fish curry).

In essence, Shillong and Guwahati, despite their differences, complement each other as gateways to the enchanting northeastern part of India. Shillong beckons with its serene beauty and cultural richness, while Guwahati, as a dynamic urban centre, provides a vibrant glimpse into the diverse heritage of the region.
