Dear folks, if there’s heaven on earth, it is here. It is here. here in Kashmir, nestled in the northernmost part of the Indian subcontinent like a crown atop the nation, cherished jewel, beauty, and guardian of natural wonders. Kashmir is the ‘paradise of earth’ because of its enchanting allure, captivating snow-dipped mountains, pristine valleys, serene lakes, gardens with terraced lawns, cascading fountains, flowerbeds, and the magic of God that makes this place felicitous. The second largest lake in Jammu and Kashmir, the famous Dal Lake, spread over 15 km, reflects the peaks of the Pir Panjal Mountains, and houseboats and shikaras are its main attractions. It is also famous for the floating market (known as Raad), where vendors sell their own Shikaras and approach tourists with their most endearing handicrafts, saffron, edibles, and even ice creams in tow. Ice skating is the magnet that attracts folks with an irony of adventure in them. The largest tulip garden in Asia, set in the foothills of the Zabarwan mountain range in Srinagar, is the Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden, which overlooks the mesmerizing Dal Lake. The Tulip Garden is home to flowers like roses, daffodils, hyacinths, and iris, among the 48 varieties of tulips. It is spread across seven terraces and built in a sloping ground fashion. The Tulip Festival organized here attracts tourists from all over the world. The mesmerizing beauty of Gulmarg enriches the purity of nature. This small town is a haven for adventure seekers and a paradise for nature lovers. A fine and amazing journey through the alpine mountains replete with snow( in winter) and green bedded grass (in summer). Adventure instincts and a refreshing ambiance to retain peace of mind—it is a perfect melange to know the taste of real Kashmir. It looks like a green soul satisfying in the summer while a very peaceful, bright white-colored valley in the winter. Along with this, the beauty of Sonmarg, Aru Valley, and Betaab Valley is timeless; the mountains and meadows will take your breath away. All directions of Kashmir have inspiring flashes of the Pir Panjal and Karakoram ranges. In Pahalgam, clouds interplay with mountains, and the whole scenery looks surreal. It feels like clouds are spread like cotton all over the mountains. Kashmir has diverse cultures. It has a blended culture created by people of different religions, such as Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, and Buddhist. Together, the culture of Kashmir is also known as Kashmiriyat. The cultural significance of this place is exceptional. People have made great contributions to world culture in the form of their crafts, written words, oral histories, science, and philosophy. Kashmiri food is generally meat-based. Alcoholic drinks are detested in Kashmir. Kahva, the traditional green tea with almonds and spices, is popularly consumed during the winter. Other famed dishes of the region are Kashmiri Pulao, Karam Sag, Dum Aloo, and Phirni.
